Did you know you have the right to choose which laboratory performs your testing?
Just like you have the ability to pick who your doctor is or which hospital you utilize,
you can select the laboratory that best meets your needs. If convenience is most important to you,
take a look at where our 30+ locations are in central Indiana. Maybe the wait time is critical for you and your busy schedule,
if so, we strive to have you in and out in 15 to 30 minutes.
We all care about quality and MACL is one of the most innovative and well respected laboratories in the state of Indiana.
How do I find a MACL location convenient to me?
Locations can be found here.
The link will show you the address and operating hours of all our draw sites, including which sites are open on Saturdays.
What do I need to have when I come to MACL to have a specimen collected?
You may ask your physician to provide you a written copy of the lab tests he would like you to have performed.
Be sure to bring this with you when you come to visit us and your insurance card.
We will make a copy of your insurance card to ensure your billing is done accurately and timely.
It is that easy! We’ll be responsible for sending your lab results directly to your physician’s office.
How do I know my insurance will be taken at MACL?
At MACL, we take all types of insurance. We are in-network with all the major health plans in the state, including all Medicare and Medicaid plans.
This includes Anthem, United, Aetna, Sagamore, Advantage and others.
To be sure that your full benefits will be accepted at MACL, call your health plan or your human resources department to confirm.
Another great way to check is on your health plans website. You can search for participating physicians and laboratories.
What if I am uninsured? Do you have any special programs?
YES! We understand that many patients are without health insurance at this time.
Our goal at MACL is to provide the highest quality healthcare at a reasonable and affordable price.
We have a new program that is rolling out throughout the winter and spring of 2010 at our MACL Patient Care Centers throughout the state.
See below for more details.
How does this program work?
- Bring your order from your doctor to one of our designated sites.
- Our phlebotomy associate will take your order and let you know the total discounted price owed for all the tests ordered by your physician.
- Before your specimen is collected, we will be asking you for payment.
- Payment is expected at time of collection up to a maximum of $150 per physician order.
- If your total bill is greater than $150, any remaining balance will be billed to you at a later date.
- We accept payment by credit card (V, MC, AX), money order, or check. We cannot accept cash payments.
Will my doctor get my results?
When your results are completed, we will send them directly to your physician’s office. You will not be responsible.
